Dozer Update

Hi Everyone, sorry for the lack of posts for Mr. Dozer so here is one MEGA update:

He's quite the sweet and high energy boy looking for lots of attention. He's a lover and follows the people around and plays well with his foster fur sister now that they are used to each other. He did well at the dog park too.

He is house trained with peeing (no accidents or marking in the house) but he appears to be not poop trained. When he's gotta go, he GOES. He does hold it overnight and when left alone in his crate but free-run of the house and he will run off to do his business. He's polka-dotted from a skin infection he had when he was little but its not an issue any longer...his hair just grows in this funny pattern of dots.

What we've found in foster care that he needs is a home with:
~ No small children to knock over,
~ No small animals like rats, rabbits, (probably cats) etc.,
~ One other dog is ok as long as they are friendly and you're willing to introduce them properly and work through any issues, and
~ Owners who can help teach him pooping is for outside, and deal with the initial training period.

The owner who surrendered him said he had food allergies due to seeing his head shake after eating. He has only had one episode of this in over a week so we can't really say what it is. If we don't see this again in foster care, that may be something he'll need to have checked out by his new family at a later date.

If you are interested in Dozer, please be sure you have an application filed online and let me know that you're interested.

Thanks!
Tina :)
